Everybody please wish a very happy birthday to the beloved penguinboi! He's a 30-year-old now (or will be this afternoon), so be gentle with him. :-)


In less pleasant news, the state disability determination people made a doctor's appointment for me that I have to go to this morning. Will resist the urge to whine about that, since I have to get ready to go to it soon & whining takes time. Oh well, I had a nice restful week last week (and fun Thanksgiving!); now it's time to go back to work again.

not yet. the doc had no idea what it was. thought it wasn't from a tooth (i concurred), since i just had a cleaning and checkup. but that crack at the corner of my mouth that i'd thought was B vitamin related he pronounced possibly candida. that rang a bell with me -- i mentioned to you, maybe, that awful candida i had in my mouth 2 years ago after taking antibiotics for bronchitis, which entailed much swelling of my lymph nodes. so i'll treat the mouth lesion with anti-candida lozenges i had on hand and see if the swelling goes down. the doc said, if i'm not better in 2 days to call for a referral to an ENT. we'll see! thank you so much for asking.
