Taking a good long walk on a beautiful autumn day is one of the best possible ways to deal with stress... unless you've been hearing newscasters all day long telling you how much that increases your risk of getting shot by a sniper. "If you absolutely must go outside, make sure you go with someone else. Otherwise, stay indoors if at all possible."

Riiight. One of the shootings took place in Spotsylvania County, for Heaven's sake (think Mayberry with more shopping malls). Is everyone living within a sixty mile radius of the District of Columbia expected to confine themselves within walls for the foreseeable future? I don't think so.

If some coward with a gun wants to shoot me while I'm out admiring the sunset, well, there are worse ways to die.

The weather was gorgeous today! I got to see a beautiful glowing gold sunset and only jumped a little bit every time I heard an unusual noise. Hope they catch that guy soon.

You and me both! I am finding myself thoroughly spooked, despite my intentions to remain calm. At least I should sleep well tonight in my own house. :-)

I hope you enjoy tomorrow too, weather-wise!

I don't know how one goes about that, but be safe anyway.

Thanks. I'm much more likely to get hit by a car than I am to get hit by a crazy sniper, but I hear so much more on the news about how to avoid getting hit by a crazy sniper that it's making me nervous. I hate being nervous. Argh.

Thanks again for good wishes.
