No, this isn't the rally post yet

What gets me is... the rally had self-proclaimed conservatives and even Tea Partiers in the audience. And they weren't counter-protesters: they were people enjoying the show, and wanting other Americans to know that they're not necessarily insane either. Contrasting the Stewart/Colbert thing with some Republican get-out-the-vote effort is just missing the point.
Of course, since a big part of the rally consisted of skewering the media, the media has an interest in missing the point.
