Consumerist Dream
It's a dream I have had quite a few times, so I suppose it might mean something. Might just mean that I think too much about my music collection, though.
There's a record store--one that does, in fact, sell records along with the CDs--which is something of an amalgamation of the record store that was at UM once upon a time and a few independent stores no longer in existence--and, me being me, I walk in and look around. I find several old Nik Kershaw imports I've never heard of before, and, as I don't have enough money to buy them all, I have to pick one based on no information other than the song titles.
Sometimes I can afford more than one of the records--they're usually rather cheap in these dreams, though I'm also usually rather poor. It's usually records I'm looking at rather than CDs, and they're usually about 4 songs long rather than full albums or ordinary singles. The records are by Nik Kershaw more often than not, which can probably be explained by the fact that the first album I ever bought, first cassette I ever bought, and first twelve-inch single I ever bought were all NK recordings.
(I don't usually use "usually" so often, do I?)
(Just read an e-mail saying that the owner of one of those former indie record stores is now former himself--he died 2 days ago. Maybe he's listening to the late Kevin Gilbert in concert now--who knows?)
In another dream, one of my housemates began to make a habit of walking around the house naked. It was not pretty.
I have absolutely nothing of interest to say. I deeply need deep sleep. If the weather forecasts prove correct and the temperatures will in fact be 30 degrees cooler on Sunday than they are today, I will be ecstatic.

Oh well, I've dreamt about hearing his "new" single and when I woke up I couldn't remember it! But it sounded sooooo good in the dream. BTW, the new single at the time was When a heart beats. :))
