Hummingwolf This Week(ish)

Now sitting: in the public library. Because nobody's doing water main work on this street.

Now wishing: that I were awake enough to write nice, coherent, and interesting entries. Would that I could wax eloquent about the cookout last Saturday at [livejournal.com profile] hasufin and [livejournal.com profile] stardansr's place, a fun party with lots of nifty people eating much delicious food and using me as a crochet table. Okay, just one person using me as a crochet table. Anyway, it was a good time all afternoon and into the evening, aside from some little digestive problems I was having as the night wore on. Fortunately, the vomiting waited till the party had pretty much wound down anyway.

At the party, I was reminded that I have the coolest friends ever. For instance, [livejournal.com profile] lyssabard and [livejournal.com profile] tlttlotd surprised me with a birthday present--LEGO! Lots & lots of Lego pieces! Lyssa remarked that I was actually bouncing. Haven't had much chance to play with Lego yet since my fingers are hurting more than usual, but they're fresh and shiny and LEGO!

Last meal eaten: Breakfast consisting of turkey bacon (another gift, this one from Hasufin, who mentioned as he gave it to me that it was evidence that he does read my journal even when he doesn't comment), egg, onion, jalapeno pepper, and mashed potatoes (instant), all fried up in butter. Mmm... butter.

Miles walked today: About tuna half so far, I think. Not enough yet to make up for the butter.

Now wearing: Terribly boring clothes, I'm afraid. Aside from my orange/silver/white shoes, everything looks a pale washed-out blue. Well, my freckles & moles still look brown, so at least that's something.

Now smelling: Some other library patron's disinfectant wipes used on the keyboard he was assigned.

Now hearing: Mostly mouseclicks and tapping keys, along with library materials being reshelved.

Now feeling: Tired. This probably isn't going to change any time soon. Also feeling pain in my shoulders and some of my fingertips.

Now reading: Not telling. It's not that I'm embarrassed about any one book I'm reading, so much as the fact that the gestalt would tell you a little more about where my mind has been than I feel like revealing. Do you ever feel that way?

Last TV show watched: The "Our Mrs. Reynolds" episode of Firefly over at [livejournal.com profile] tlttlotd and [livejournal.com profile] lyssabard's place on Monday night.

Quiz result of the day:

Which sci-fi crew would you best fit in with? (pics)
