I have been composing many, many LJ entries in my head this week--and then feeling too tired to sit at the computer and type them out. Go me. If you're lucky, I may get around to serving up my diary entries from earlier in the week. If you're very lucky, I may remember to use LJ-cut so you don't actually have to read them.

In other news, musesfool alerted us to something which some of us (me, anyway) did not know about: LiveJournal's proposed new user profile page. To see what yours would look like, take the address for your current userinfo page and add "?ver=ng" to the end. For example, my new page is http://hummingwolf.livejournal.com/profile?ver=ng

Please let the design folks know what you think of the new design in comments to this post. [Edit: They've turned off commenting on the design entry.][Edit 2: Comments on again. And in other news, I'm going to bed.] There's also a poll about it here, which isn't official but does indicate that I am, for once, in complete agreement with the majority.

Right then, now it's time for me to try to figure out if I am capable of actually doing anything this evening. Have a good weekend, all.

From what I've read, most people would rather have all the friends and friends-of information at the bottom of the page and the interests up near the top. We all like to look and see what other people are interested in. That seems reasonable.

Yeah. Fortunately, from what I've read, the LJ designers aren't stupid enough to force this change on us after 2000+ negative comments. I hope.

I like some of the changes made to the customization page. But when it comes to this user profile thing, I really hope the design folks are listening to the people who don't want it. I find it totally unreadable.

Yep. And some visually-impaired people who use screen readers have noted that the new design gives them the info they're least interested in first, making them wait too long for the stuff they really want to know.

Weekend has been... hot. I'm looking forward to fall.
