Hummingwolf Today
Now wearing: Old pair of glasses, dull green T-shirt, fuzzy white socks, unexceptional underwear, and a pair of jeans loose enough that I can't bend over without showing off my gluteal cleft (hi,
skygypsy!). I was wearing decent jeans earlier, but peeled those off after getting soaked in the rain. And now I'm wearing a belt to hold up the jeans, since it was a bit drafty in here.
Now listening to: Station Chanson française.
Reading matter: Just finished George Johnson, Architects of Fear: Conspiracy Theories and Paranoia in American Politics. Currently reading Robert S. Robins and Jerrold M. Post, Political Paranoia: The Psychopolitics of Hatred. What? No! No reason--why do you ask? Did They tell you to check up on me? They did, didn't They? Didn't They??
Ahem.
Last meal eaten: Something involving oysters, broccoli, and cinnamon biscuits. Strange things happen when you've got leftovers.
Latest purchases: Fresh garlic, canned pumpkin, olive oil, concord grape juice, part-skim mozzarella, natural peanut butter, and lots of canned tomatoes. Man, those bags were heavy, and they seemed even heavier when I had to carry them while holding an umbrella high in the air.
Latest phone call: Last received was a call from someone wanting to talk to a former housemate. The weird thing is that that housemate (who moved out years ago) never used this phone number. Last call made was to my older brother's voice mail thanking him for a message he'd left on my voice mail. Ah, modern technology.
Last TV show watched: M*A*S*H rerun during supper. Why are there no Buffy or Angel reruns on anymore? I miss my Joss Whedon fix.

Really, Krissy, it's perfectly understandable for you in your hunger to resort to taking my food, but do you think it was all that wise to eat a whole head of garlic?

Hey, that sounds pretty interesting. Are you far enough into it to have an opinion on whether or not it's a good read?
