On the plus side

I spent much of yesterday smiling goofily at how wonderful people can be. See, multiple people (daisydumont and several non-LJ people who know neither her nor each other) gave me gifts yesterday. I got food & clothing & more clothing & CDs & other stuffs I'm forgetting. Haven't sorted through the clothes enough yet to find out which ones actually fit, but something in there surely makes up for the sweaters that so recently were ruined in the dryer. And food is always good. And, um, whatever else I got that had me smiling goofily. It's all good.

One of the people who gave me things yesterday was an old friend I've known since ninth grade. She couldn't stay for long, but it hit me when she was here that my friends have grown up into the kind of adult I always admired when I was a kid. That's so cool.

i'm glad they brought clothes. i looked in my drawers and closet, but nothing i had would've been anything but huge on you. it's good the day worked out like that for you.
