In the mail:
Got info from social services--food stamps & medical assistance to end at the end of the month. Medical assistance ends because "YOUR DISABILITY HAS AN EXPECTED DURATION OF LESS THAN THREE (3) MONTHS." Oh, I'm sure that makes perfect sense in an alternate universe. Food stamps "BECAUSE YOUR OR A MEMBER OF YOUR HOUSEHOLD HAVE NOT MET THE REQUIRED WORK REQUIREMENTS." The letter does include info on what to do if I think the decision is wrong. But there is no info on what to do if I am personally offended by their abuse of the English language. More's the pity.
