Dear Brochitis:

I thought you understood. Two days after I started taking antibiotics, you were noticeably less active, so I was sure you were preparing to take your leave. Everyone commented that I was coughing much less, and it was true: for a week, it was obvious that things were getting better.

But I've finished the full course of those antibiotics, and you're still here. What's more, the coughing seems to be getting worse again. Why do you not take the hint? You are not wanted here! GO AWAY!!!!!

Amoxicillin, which really did seem to be what I needed. Gahhhhh.

If I'm still feeling ridiculously coughy tomorrow, will call doctor's office if I can remember to do so during their Saturday hours. If just coughing a little bit, I'll wait and see if I get all the way better after all. But I don't want to wait--I want to be allll better noooooow!

yeah, that's what i'm on for the sinus infection. (and this morning i noticed i was coughing a little again and getting drippy-nosed. probably a second virus sneak-attacking me. doggone it. this has been a heck of a winter for illness.) [got my cart ahead of the horse there for a sec...]

you deserve to whine! please let us know what you do tomorrow, if you have the energy to post. hope you feel much better, though.

I had energy enough to go to the store & then post to LJ today, so here's hoping I'll have enough energy to post tomorrow. :-)

And I have no idea what your comment originally said--LJ still isn't mailing notifications in a timely manner!

i just got ahead of myself and jumped directly into spring, bypassing winter. which i would fully like to do, mind you. ;)

If you are not coughing anything up, it could also be allergies or just irritation left over from coughing. Try the over the counter brand Delsym, it saves my butt any time I have an irritated cough.

I'm sorry you're still ill. *hugs*

Thank you for your good wishes! I'm not sure I like the idea of a time-traveling cough, but it'd be cool if it erased itself from history.

I was coughing up some gunk yesterday, though it wasn't the greenish foul-tasting stuff from before and might not have been infected after all. If my cough turns to a drier one, I'll keep your advice in mind. Thank you!

I hope you're feeling better. Warmer weather is looming; that will help, I hope.

Thank you. I usually love winter, but I'm hoping this constant stream of cold-cold-cold-flu-bronchitis comes to an end soon!
