(no subject)

Have you ever had one of those days when you had a great, long post written in your head which you were all ready to type out and send forth into the ether, but then you ended up spending the day trying to re-teach yourself trigonometry instead? Yeah, me neither... until today.

Mrs. Y., wherever you are, I apologize for not paying quite enough attention in your class.

Mrs. Y. can't answer you-- she is busy with Mr. X.

True. But it isn't right to leave people with the wrong idea, so she wants it known that Mr. X only needs to sign some documents for Mr. C. Tangentially, C can't wait for the cosigning, since he finds Mr. X to be acute in domains where Mr. C is rather obtuse.

But if Mr. C is a square, just like Mr. X, what does that do to help us get to the root of the problem?

HA! That's great. I can't say that I have ever had that experience. Once you relearn trig, can you reteach it to me?

rofl..you're a genius.

The trig is like an investment, which will pay post dividends later.

you know.. i have ruined completely good plans regarding Getting To Sleep Before Dawn just because you happen to flip past PBS and they are showing those happy little math programs they show in the Dead Hours before sun-up (which are just problems and diagrams on a blank background, with a voice-over).
eerily enough, it is trig that sucks me in the most.

so.. um.. yeah. this prolly didn't sound nearly as strange to me as you might think. i have lost track of how many of my days were de-railed by the sweet lure of mathematics.

(i am not mathematically inclined. at all. i was an english/theatre major. go figure.)

Trig, huh?
Isn't it kinda early to start figuring your taxes?

Well, I haven't relearned much yet. Let me see if the new year brings more math enthusiasm before I make any promises. :-)

Haven't relearned much yet. Maybe instead of looking at mathematical web sites, I should go to the library and check out a trig book or two.

None of your comment surprises me in the least. Heh.
