December 2!

These days I haven't been mentioning people's birthdays in my journal, mostly because there are so many of you having birthdays all the time and it's hard to keep up. But mention should be made of the amazing awesomeness of the second of December, which brings us such notables as
[livejournal.com profile] sharanagati,
[livejournal.com profile] sharanagati's daughter,
[livejournal.com profile] grrwoo, and
[livejournal.com profile] unwilly's daughter.

This day is truly gifted with spifftacular niftiness. Hooray for December 2!

Thank you!

You are a sweet woman for even trying to remeber all those people.

LIl Un says thanks!

Heh, glad you put a comma in there or people would be wondering how grrwoo and I had a daughter.

Even the lack of the possessive "'s" after grrwoo might have not been noticed on a fast read through.

Going to go *super* geeky here...

Possessive "'s" is a clitic. It can quite easily attach to a phrase rather than a single word. See also "The king of Spain's hat", where it is unlikely that Spain has a hat that in turn has a king.

Beyond that, please give Lil'un a birthday tickle from me.

Happy Birthdays to all of you!

Great, now everybody's a clitic.

How was Li'l Un's birthday? And how many parties do you get this weekend?

Linggeekery is fun. :-)

Huh. How come you don't have [livejournal.com profile] languagelog on your flist?

Good B-day.

Party at her school, everybody called her and we went to Disneyland on Friday.

One party on Thursday for a friend of hers, at McDonalds that was lots of fun. Everybody from her school went.

Family celebration tomorrow, then a friend's party, directly afterwards.

Because I already have a hard time keeping up with LJ as it is.

How fast-moving is it?

The feed volume varies, but it doesn't seem to get more than about 4 posts per day even on an active day. You can always check out the Language Log site and see if it looks like something you'd want to read regularly.

Oh, if you ever get too overwhelmed with LJ reading, you can prioritize by reading individuals separately from feeds, etc.
