Monday Update
The psychiatrist I have referred to as a "crack-addled ferret" was much calmer and more rational today. Or maybe he just seemed that way in comparison to the folks at my local department of social services. For the record: If you are a security guard trying to tell a bunch of cranky poor people to cheer up and calm down when they're attempting to straighten out a bureaucratic mess caused by somebody losing their paperwork so they may not have the chance to eat next month, do not under any circumstances mention that Christmas is coming. That really doesn't improve anyone's mood at all.
So anyway, they lost some of my paperwork and I got to wait around for a few hours in order to hand them the extra copy I'd had the foresight to bring with me (didn't know beforehand that they'd lost the paper, but that's always a good guess). Fortunately I had both an interesting book to read and interesting cranky people to listen to.
Anyway, I accepted free samples from the ferret (to whose office I was late thanks to the wait at social services) and may even try them on the off chance that something works. If they do work, great. If they give me nasty side effects, I'm going to the hospital because I half-suspect that's the only way I'll get any substantial help at all anymore. Been getting eight or nine hours of sleep at night lately and I'm still too tired to do all the things I need to do. I really could use some help here.

I sometimes get the idea that there are either people whose sole job it is to rifle through paperwork and extract key document to shread, or that there are destructive sprites doing the same in all bureaucracies.

Yeah, I get that feeling myself. Whoever those people are, I really wish they weren't so good at their jobs.

If you do have the urge to help though, there are little things I could always use--soap, shampoo, magnesium & other nutritional supplements, socks. If you could help out there, I'd appreciate it! If you can't, I appreciate the thoughts and prayers. Thank you!
