Random hummingwolf body fact: There's a pair of small oval scars on my forehead, each 1/2 or 3/4 inch above the arch of an eyebrow. Since the scars are fairly small indentations without discoloration, they are not often remarked upon or noticed. On those rare occasions when someone asks, I say that's where the electrodes used to be.

Unfortunate body fact of the day: Just when I thought I was really feeling better, I keep having near-vomit experiences. Being hungry when you're having trouble keeping water down is an unpleasant state of being.

Random quote from one of my own comments: From a reply to daisydumont about this year's plague of locusts: I haven't seen any shells around here yet, though it may have been a cicada that flew against my window a couple days ago. I've got sentimental feelings for cicada shells--I used to ooh and ahh over them with my father in the spring. There was a developing cicada under our back step once which was pretty to look at when it emerged from its shell fresh and moist and green. We did our best to keep our cat away from the bug while it waited for its wings to dry enough to fly away. But for all that, I really don't remember the last time Brood X came out of their shells, even though I remember hearing news stories about them.

If I got married to the Monster, it must've been at an unlawfully young age. Those scars have been there for decades.

I had a piece of toast a few minutes ago and haven't thrown up yet. Now I'm thinking of a burrito, which is insane, of course, but the other easy options were liver, tuna, or more of the breakfast food that made me yack this morning. Here's hoping the burrito stays down.
