Mental image of the day: An insect triumphantly fighting its way out of its cocoon, all the while cursing what confined it on the assumption that if it doesn't need the cocoon now, it must never have needed the cocoon at all.

No, I don't know why that mental image has been with me all morning, but it's a good image.

Ooh, one of the classical fan stations on Launchcast just served up Ravel's "Bolero." There's a story about my parents hearing this piece on the car radio when they were on their way to a wedding. They didn't know the music, but they loved it and so pulled over to the side of the road to listen to it with their full attention, not realizing how long the piece is or how late they were going to be.

He's a very mean boy. I've seen other people get tricked by their friends and have some candy stolen, but UnOne is the only one I've seen steal 92 pieces. No wonder he 'sploded after eating all that!
