Brrr.

Yesterday we were supposed to get a delivery of heating oil, but it seems the petroleum company decided to suck every drop of oil out of the furnace instead. My plans for today have changed from "Spend business hours in fruitless attempt to reach bureaucrats by phone" to "Get someplace warm before losing all feeling in toes."

I wonder if the librarians will object too much if I put my feet up on a study table and take a nap...

hi, i've been thinking about you. i don't think the library will mind a bit if you snooze in a carrel. if you're going to that big main branch there, there are lots of nice spots to sit. and a used-book cubby downstairs, yay. keep warm! it's supposed to go up to a pleasant temp by afternoon, said that dip dennis owens this a.m. on wgms.

I love this weather we're having--yesterday was a terrific day for a walk! But I object to needing a winter coat in my bedroom, ya know?

The library does have nice soft chairs in the periodicals room. Only problem with it is that the branches close at 6 on Fridays. Let's hope the problem with the heating oil is resolved by then!

Aww, the mental image of you & the puppy huddled together is both sad and adorable.

Still don't have oil tonight--the oil company's really messed up today--but a housemate who'll be elsewhere tonight just gave me her space heater to use as needed. Hooray for space heaters!

They say they'll deliver it tomorrow. Of course, yesterday's pumping out of 44 already-paid-for gallons was supposed to be a delivery as well. So we'll see.
