Fedoras are cool, though I've never owned one. My main winter hat used to be a warm woollen hat which a catalog claimed was the very same kind the Afghan rebels used when fighting the Soviet occupation (though it was made in Pakistan). Political connections (and somewhat silly looks) aside, that thing was wonderfully warm in winter. I left it on a bus a couple years ago, though, and have replaced it with a less-toasty but still-warm beret, which leaves me looking a bit less like a fashion victim anyway.

I think if I ever make a real website, I'll have to sprinkle MegaHAL comments throughout just to confuse people.
