Song of the Week

This post is here simply because I'm compelled to say this is a splendiferous song.

(Note: Yes, I know it's a cover. It's a darn good one.)

Oh, the weather here is splendiferous too--80 degrees Fahrenheit, low humidity, sunshine with little fluffy clouds, and the kind of breeze that makes even the most earthbound creature need to spread wings and fly.

I like the band doing it-Solas.The lead guy whose name I forget did the music for a movie I like called The Bros. McMillan.I've been fortunate enough to have seen them a couple of times.I'll look for that cover version.
I won't complain about the weather even though it's 102 today.

I got curious about launchcast so I clicked on the link in your user info, but I couldn't get it to play. Kept saying iexplore caused an error of some sort. Of course I haven't got a clue what the error message meant. :-P

Ooh, I knew when Launch got bought by the Evil Yahoo Empire that it would lead to no good.

Maybe it was just a temporary problem--being a popular part of Yahoo, they *do* have lotsa server errors & thingies. You might have better luck listening to something on their main page at http://launch.yahoo.com/launchcast . I haven't listened to my own station much in weeks, actually. Last time I heard it, the Hummingwolf station sounded hopelessly stuck in the '80s; so I've been listening to & rating hundreds of more recent songs, and with any luck, my station will now sound like it's stuck in 1992.

Lead guy? Hmm. The singer on "Darkness Darkness" is a woman, but in spite of being a regular listener to The Thistle & Shamrock I really don't know much about Solas. I do know the song is on an album released just this year, though.

102? We had temperatures around 101 here the day before yesterday, which makes the current fall-like temperatures feel even more delicious. I hope y'all get to enjoy some coolth soon yourselves.
